Could there really be a lip color that is waterproof, does not kiss-off, smear-off, rub-off, or budge-off? And one that doesn’t dry out lips? LipSense claims their product does just that.
According to SeneGence, LipSense is their premier product and is unlike any conventional lipstick, stain or color. As the original long-lasting lip color, it is waterproof, does not kiss-off, smear-off, rub-off or budge-off! Create your own color palette by combining shades. Your customized look will last even longer and your lips will stay moist and plump with LipSense Moisturizing Gloss.
LipSense comes in a wide variety of shades and textures: luscious mattes, seductive sheers, inspiring sparkles, and playful frosts. LipSense is initially sold as a set, which includes LipSense liquid lip color, a moisturizing Gloss, and an Ooops! Remover. Users must have a remover in the event they need to remove the product.
Application of three layers of color is recommended for the greatest staying power. The LipSense applicator connected to the lid of the LipSense cap of the tube has three features for application:
- Tip – Pointed to apply LipSense as a lip liner
- Longest Side – Used to apply LipSense to full lips
- Shorter Side – Used to apply LipSense to thin lips.
For best results, LipSense products must be applied to clean, dry lips. For a more defined, finished look, use LinerSense before applying the lip color. LipSense needs to be shaken horizontally prior to application. LipSense is applied by using a layering technique. After placing color onto the wand, begin application at the corner of mouth, (usually) using the longest length of the applicator. Keep lips apart, and follow the natural shape of lips starting at the outer corner of the mouth. With one continual stroke, apply one layer of color from one corner to the other corner of the bottom lip, then one layer of color to the top lip. Apply the color, moving the applicator in one continuous direction versus going back and forth like you would with lipstick. Let each layer set for a few seconds before proceeding to the next. It is not recommended to apply more than three layers of color. When the application of the third layer of color is complete and the color has set, apply one of the LipSense Moisturizing Glosses over the final layer. Do not press lips together until the moisturizing gloss has been applied onto the last layer of lip color.
LipSense Liquid Lip colors are removed by using Ooops! Color Remover or liquid Fooops SenseCosmetics Color Remover.

I think I’ve died and gone to lip gloss heaven. LipSense’s long-lasting lip color is the real deal! This lip color doesn’t just look beautiful. It lasts for hours – through kissing, eating, drinking, showering, etc… Yes, I actually took a shower while wearing LipSense’s lip color and it was still there just as perfect as when I first applied it when I got out of the shower.
Even Christina Aguilera is a huge LipSense fan.
Now I will say it takes some getting used to in order to properly apply LipSense. You are supposed to start by placing the applicator on the outside corner of your lips and in one motion go to the opposite corner without lifting the applicator and without moving the applicator back and forth, which is how I typically apply gloss so learning to use this product took some focus and patience.
You also need to keep the LipSense Ooops! Remover close by because you’ll need it to take off any mistakes or extraneous color that lands outside of your lip area.
I also want to point out that this lip color does contain alcohol and is a bit drying on its own, but nothing like other long lasting lipsticks that I have used in the past; however, once I applied the LipSense Gloss that comes with the starter kit, the dry sensation went away and my lips felt moisturized from that point on.
I love this product so much I’m considering buying the distributor demo kit so I can try a variety of their products in different shades.
